New ICPSR Studies
The ICPSR Summer Program provides basic and advanced instruction across a wide range of methodologies and techniques for research in the social, behavioral, and health sciences. Our courses emphasize the integration of methodological strategies with the theoretical and practical concerns that arise in research on substantive issues.
In 2017, the ICPSR Summer Program is offering more than 80 courses in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and other cities across the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia. To view our full schedule and register, visit icpsr.umich.edu/sumprog
Resources from ICPSR
The Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) is the world's largest archive of social science data. Through our ACM consortial membership, Lawrence students, faculty, and staff may find and use a wide array of social, behavioral, political, and environmental data.
See the boxes below for more information about using ICPSR.
Analyze ICPSR data online
ICPSR's Survey Documentation Analysis (SDA) system enables you to explore and analyze data online, without having to download it or use a statistical software package. It's only available for a subset of ICPSR studies, but you can use SDA to:
- calculate the statistics you need
- better understand the data
- create a customized subset before doing full analysis in the software package of your choice.
View all ICPSR studies for which online analysis is available. For studies where it's available, click on the Online Analysis on the search results or the study home page.
To learn more about the system, see ICPSR's YouTube videos on SDA.
